On 25 September 2026, the Technology Development Board (TDB) under the Department of Science and Technology (DST) signed an agreement with Chennai-based Agnikul Cosmos Private Limited for ₹200 crore support from the Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Fund via optionally convertible debentures (OCDs). The project aims to develop the fully reusable Agnibaan RLV, advancing the technology from TRL-4 to TRL-8, targeting full-system reuse beyond first-stage recovery, with a light upper stage, precise orbital insertion and a semi-cryogenic liquid propulsion system designed for deep throttling and restart. Agnikul has previously developed the Agnibaan orbital-class launcher and the single-piece 3D-printed Agnilet engine.

A PIB release dated 25 September 2026 states that Indian Coast Guard (ICG) Ship Shaunak sailed from Chennai on 25 September 2026 for Perth, Australia, under the QUAD-at-Sea Ship Observer Mission. Six Sea Riders—two officers each from India and Japan, and one each from Australia and the United States—embarked for shipboard professional exchanges to enhance interoperability among QUAD nations (India, Australia, Japan and the United States). The initiative aligns with the Quad Foreign Ministers’ Joint Statement of 26 May 2026 and India’s maritime vision of MAHASAGAR (Mutual and Holistic Advancement for Security and Growth Across Regions).

A PIB release dated 25 September 2026 reports that Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) surgeons conducted 220 sight-restoring surgeries during the 10th Mega Eye Surgical Camp under Operation Drishti at an underground operation theatre in Tangdhar, Kupwara, along the Line of Control on 24–25 September 2026. Most interventions were cataract surgeries, with selective retinal procedures and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. AFMS mega eye camps have so far screened over 1.50 lakh patients and performed over 3,500 surgeries across 10 cities; the 11th camp is scheduled in Srinagar from 27–29 September 2026.

24 సెప్టెంబర్ 2026న ముంబైలో 215వ Board సమావేశంలో (PR No. 59/2026) Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, 2026ను ఆమోదించింది; 2020 నిబంధనల స్థానంలో — Portfolio Managers Route for Investing in Mutual Fund units (PRIM)తో కనీస ticket size ₹25 లక్షలు. అలాగే SEBI (Settlement of Administrative and Civil Proceedings) Regulations, 2026 — 2018 framework స్థానంలో; కొత్త settlement-amount ఫార్ములా; settlement amount ₹10 లక్షలు మించనప్పుడు fast-track. పేర్కొన్న regulated entitiesకు Common Advertisement Code కూడా ఆమోదం.
At its 215th Board meeting in Mumbai on 24 September 2026 (PR No. 59/2026), the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) approved the SEBI (Portfolio Managers) Regulations, 2026, superseding the 2020 regulations, including a Portfolio Managers Route for Investing in Mutual Fund units (PRIM) with a minimum ticket size of ₹25 lakh. It also approved the SEBI (Settlement of Administrative and Civil Proceedings) Regulations, 2026, replacing the 2018 settlement framework, with a new settlement-amount formula and a fast-track route when the settlement amount does not exceed ₹10 lakh. The Board further approved a Common Advertisement Code for specified regulated entities.

22 సెప్టెంబర్ 2026 తెలంగాణ స్టేట్ పోర్టల్ ప్రెస్ రిలీజ్ ప్రకారం ముఖ్యమంత్రి ఎ. రేవంత్ రెడ్డి డా. బి.ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ తెలంగాణ సచివాలయంలో SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 అమలుపై రాష్ట్రస్థాయి High-Powered Vigilance and Monitoring Committee సమావేశానికి అధ్యక్షత వహించారు — తెలంగాణ ఆవిర్భావం తర్వాత ఇదే తొలి సమావేశం. అధికారులు గత ఐదేళ్లలో SC/STలపై అత్యాచార కేసులు తగ్గాయన్నారు; ఎక్కువ కేసులున్న 73 గ్రామాలపై ప్రత్యేక దృష్టి, జిల్లా vigilance కమిటీలు క్రమం తప్పకుండా. బాధితులకు సకాల నష్టపరిహారం/సహాయం/పునరావాసం బడ్జెట్తో ముడిపెట్టకుండా గ్రీన్ ఛానెల్లో విడుదల ఆదేశాలు.
A Telangana State Portal press release dated 22 September 2026 reports that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy chaired a State-level High-Powered Vigilance and Monitoring Committee meeting on implementation of the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 at Dr B.R. Ambedkar Telangana Secretariat—the first such meeting since Telangana’s formation. Officials said atrocity cases against SCs and STs had declined over the past five years; special focus was directed on 73 villages with higher caseloads, with regular district-level vigilance committee meetings. The CM directed timely victim compensation, assistance and rehabilitation through a green channel without linking release to budget availability.
