APU అనేది ట్యాంకు fire-control system, firing circuit, gun stabilisation మరియు ఇతర ancillariesకు ప్రత్యామ్నాయ విద్యుత్ వనరు. ఇది Make-II industry-led R&D కింద; స్వదేశీ ఉపవ్యవస్థల ద్వారా Mechanised Formations సంసిద్ధతను పెంచడం లక్ష్యం.
On 21 September 2026 in New Delhi, the Ministry of Defence signed a ₹586 crore contract with Accurate Industrial Controls Private Limited to procure Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) for T-72 and T-90 tanks, in the presence of Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh. An APU is an alternate electric-power source for the tank’s fire-control system, firing circuit, gun stabilisation and other ancillaries. The deal is under Make-II industry-led R&D and aims to strengthen readiness of Mechanised Formations through indigenous sub-systems.

21 సెప్టెంబర్ 2026న న్యూఢిల్లీలో Union MoS for Health and Family Welfare అనుప్రియా పటేల్ Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission యొక్క 6వ National Pharmacovigilance Week కార్యక్రమంలో National Formulary of India 7వ సంచిక (NFI 2026)ను విడుదల చేశారు. NFI 2026లో 34 అధ్యాయాలు, 20 అనుబంధాలు, 653 drugs (42 fixed-dose combinations, 30 immunologicals సహా). ప్రభుత్వం Biovigilance Programme of Indiaను ఆమోదించింది; organ/tissue transplantationకు సంబంధించిన adverse events పర్యవేక్షణలో IPC నాయకత్వం వహిస్తుంది. WHO patient-safety databaseకు భారత్ సహకారంలో ప్రపంచంలో 8వ స్థానం (2009–2014లో 123వ నుంచి).
On 21 September 2026 in New Delhi, Union MoS for Health and Family Welfare Anupriya Patel launched the 7th Edition of the National Formulary of India (NFI 2026) at the 6th National Pharmacovigilance Week programme of the Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission. NFI 2026 has 34 chapters, 20 appendices and 653 drugs (including 42 fixed-dose combinations and 30 immunologicals). The Government has approved the Biovigilance Programme of India, with IPC to lead monitoring of adverse events linked to organ and tissue transplantation. India ranks 8th globally in contributions to the WHO patient-safety database (from 123rd in 2009–2014).
